Local storage keeps files on the device. A NAS is separate network storage. Cloud services are an optional destination with their own access requirements and plan conditions.

Plan a backup

Local storage does not replace a backup. Back up important documents and check the selected destination for each scan. Consult the privacy policy for other data processing.
